Mercer TEACH 

My name is Marilyn Mercer. I worked as a special education teacher in the public school system for 26 years until July 2020.

For the past several school years, I have been blessed with a business that allows me to continue my passion—working with students daily. I provide academic assistance and remediation to elementary through high school students, either in-person or virtually from my home. I was seeing clients in 3 states and 6 cities (one just graduated in May 2024, and another is in his senior year independently).

In addition, with my 31 years of experience in special education, I have the expertise to guide parents through the special education and 504 plan process. I am available on a consultative basis to assist parents, help them navigate the process, and even attend meetings.

As of August 2022, I embarked on a new venture in addition to my business. A former parent, community members, and I started a homeschooling academy. I am teaching mathematics @ Summit Homeschool Academy in Castle Rock, CO.
