Parent review
As a former colleague a handful of years ago, although our individual obligations and teaching focuses differed, sometimes we shared a common platform of coming together in collaboration with other stakeholders, teachers, parents, etc, for the benefit of each and every individual student, finding a successful path in which they could strive.
Each and every student Mrs. Mercer worked with, was always at the heart of her focus, a goal of wanting each student, person, to connect with the material being taught with a real and true understanding, a connection that leads to future learning.
This understanding of Marilyn's character and integrity, now looking on as a parent, continues to be the foundation from which Mrs. Mercer works. From the moment of learning about her new endeavor and avenue of teaching students @MercerTeachLLC, immediately we wanted her qualified tutoring services as my daughter steps into the brand new school year, with a goal of tackling learning gaps as a result of years of mathematics curriculum inconsistency.
Already, I have witnessed my daughter putting aside her inhibitions and following the guidance with reciprocation. We are excited for this year to unfold...and are very thankful to know Mrs. Mercer is on the other side of a zoom!

Grandparent review
Mrs. Mercer is a life saver in disguise. To make a long story short, we helped our daughter and son-in-law by taking their 6.5 year old when he was put into remote learning because of the pandemic. As anyone reading this knows, a first grader sitting in front of an 8x11 inch laptop for 3 hours a day, is a disaster waiting to happen. We found Mrs. Mercer... and she helped us manage the remote learning and took our grandson under her arm and he "excelled"... turning a for sure disaster into a rewarding learning experience. If you are looking for a caring and exceptional "teacher", Mrs. Mercer is your choice. Outstanding in oh so many ways!

*Still with his grandson in the 5th grade for the 2024-2025 school year.

Marilyn represents the “gold standard” for teaching. I have worked with Mrs. Mercer and saw her incredible heart for students, along with an exceptional competence as an educator. She has the highest level of integrity and professionalism. She is not only brilliant, but also very compassionate. This combination can be difficult to find among educators. As a speech-language pathologist, I have worked with many moderate needs teachers over the past 24 years; Marilyn represents the best of the best- professionally and personally.
